Requirements for electronic data submission (for existing sites only):
Any existing site continuing to contribute data to UK CHIC must
be able to provide data in the electronic format requested (see Data
File Specifications), on all patients seen since 1st January
1996. The essential data items are demographics, aids events, antiretroviral
treatment, and CD4 and viral loads measurements. Whilst other data
items such as hepatitis, adherence, PCP prophylaxis and toxicity
are desirable, it is understood that centres may not collect these
data, but should aim towards collecting these data in future.
Sites should also be able to provide up to date data downloads
every 12 months as requested, and be amenable to having their
data checked and audited.
Policy for data sharing:
Proposals for research studies requiring access
to data from existing and potential new collaborators are subject
to review and approval by the UK CHIC Steering
Committee; a proposal
template is available to submit details of proposals;
support for statistical analyses may be available from the study
team. Send your proposal
