Q3. What do I have to do if I want to use UK CHIC
data for a research study?
A3. All proposals for use of the data must first
be approved by the Steering Committee. A
proposal should be in collaboration with the steering committee
member
at your centre. The proposal
should be 1 or 2 A4 pages consisting of the date, the centre and proposed
writing committee, background, objectives, methods, data required,
any statistical help needed,
and any limitations anticipated.
A proposal
template is available
to submit details.
Proposals can be submitted at
any time, and should be sent to the UK CHIC Coordinating Group (ukchic@ctu.mrc.ac.uk).
Please note that each centre will only be allowed to work on one
analysis at a time, until it is submitted for publication, when
they
may may start on another analysis.
If proposals from two or more centres overlap in their subject,
then the authors will be encouraged
to collaborate in the analyses.
