Caroline Doré, Senior Statistician

Caroline has been a Senior Statistician at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit since 2001. For 10 years Caroline advised all those developing and conducting Arthritis Research UK funded multi-centre clinical trials. Since September 2011 Caroline has been the part-time Head of Statistics at the new UCL Clinical Trials Unit.

Caroline graduated in Statistics from UCL in 1970 and has more than 40 years experience of collaboration and consultancy in medical research with more than 200 peer reviewed publications. Prior to joining MRC CTU Caroline was Head of the Statistical Consultancy Service at Imperial College School of Medicine.

She has extensive experience as a member of Independent Trial Steering Committees and of Independent Data Monitoring Committees, as a statistical reviewer for medical journals, as a member of the Statistical Advisory Board for the online journal Trials, and as a statistical advisor for funding bodies.
