GCIG Gynaecologic Cancer Intergroup trial

ICON7 - A randomised, two arm, multi-centre Gynaecologic Cancer InterGroup phase III trial of adding bevacizumab to standard chemotherapy (carboplatin and paclitaxel) in first line treatment of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer.

ICON7 is an international trial performed through the Gynecologic Cancer InterGroup (GCIG). The MRC/NCRI Group is the lead group and the MRC Clinical Trials Unit will coordinate the trial.

The trial will be conducted with the following GCIG Groups:

MRC/NCRI - Medical Research Council/National Cancer Research Institute
AGO-OVAR - AGO Studiengruppe Ovarialkarzinom (Germany)
ANZGOG - Australia/New Zealand Gynecologic Oncology Group
GEICO - Grupo Espanol de Investigacion en Cancer de Ovario (Spain)
GINECO - Group d'Investigateurs Nationaux pour l'Etude des Cancers Ovariens (France)
NCIC CTG - National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trial Group
NSGO - Nordic Society of Gynecologic Oncology
