Next week, MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL will be presenting the latest findings from many of our ongoing HIV and TB studies at CROI 2015. Professor Diana Gibb will also be giving a Plenary presentation at the Conference.
CROI is an annual conference, which focuses on the latest research in the battle against HIV/AIDS and related infectious diseases. It will be attended by researchers and doctors from across the world, who will share the latest studies, important scientific developments and research methods.
This year, CROI will be running from Monday 23 February to Thursday 26 February, in Seattle, Washington.
Diana Gibb is professor of Epidemiology and Programme Leader of the Paediatric Programme of trials and cohorts at the MRC CTU at UCL. Many of her research projects have looked at treating and preventing HIV infection in children, and since 1999 many of these projects have taken place in in Africa.
Diana will be speaking about: 'Preventing Pediatric HIV and Managing HIV-Infected Children: Where Are We Now and Where Are We Going?'. Her talk will take place on Wednesday 25 February from 8.30-9am (local time) in the 4AB Auditorium.
