MRC Clinical Trials Unit launches the Help Make History initiative

MRC Clinical Trials Unit launches the Help Make History
initiative
MRC Clinical Trials Unit launched the Help Make History
initiative on the July 19th 2010 Help Make History is a website and
database for healthy volunteers to register and join a network of
people wishing to take part in future HIV vaccine clinical
trials.
The aim of Help Make History is to establish a database of
people ready to take part in any new trial when it begins and so
prevent delays which often occur in such studies if you only begin
advertising for volunteers when it has started.
The network will be kept informed of news including details of
the trials that are recruiting, HIV prevention work, research
results via the website, facebook, twitter and e-mails. The members
of the network will also be able to talk to each other via the
forums.
There will also be a regularly updated blog by people around the
world with a connection to our work who also have the desire to
Help Make History and advance HIV prevention.
