RADICALS starts recruitment in Canada
August 2008
RADICALS is a large-scale randomised controlled trial
for men with prostate cancer. The aim is to compare adjuvant versus
early selective salvage treatment following a radical
prostatectomy.
The trial is designed by the NCRI prostate Clinical Studies
Group and the MRC Clinical Trials Unit. It is a collaboration
between the MRC CTU and the National Cancer Institute of Canada
Clinical Trials Group (NCIC CTG). The trial has been recruiting in
the UK since November 2007 and we are pleased to announce that the
first Canadian patient was entered in July 2008.
