Our aims are:
- To design, conduct, analyse and publish clinical trials, observational studies,
meta-analyses and
other systematic
reviews which are of clinical or public health importance
- To develop new methods to conduct trials, meta-analyses and
other types of research more effectively
- To support training about health services research, help other
researchers and encourage the development of clinical trials,
particularly in the areas of health care in which there are
important questions to be answered, but no tradition of clinical
trials
- To involve patients, carers and service users in our research
and to increase public understanding of the role of clinical trials
and other types of health research.
