The MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL is now able to receive phone calls and faxes as normal. Engineers have finally restored our phone and fax services, following damage caused by a major fire near our office on Wednesday 1 April.
Thank you for your patience during these two weeks. We hope that we will now be able to resume business as usual. MRC CTU at UCL Staff should be contactable by email or phone from tomorrow at the latest.
We are extremely grateful to everyone - within and beyond the MRC CTU at UCL - who helped us to carry on with our work during this two-week period. In particular, we would like to thank:
- Our Information Services team
- Our trial management group: and in particular those who worked to ensure that randomisation to our trials continued over these two weeks and those who worked on trial data entry under difficult circumstances
- Our Facilities and office management team
- The Business Continuity Team who coordinated the efforts to keep the unit functioning as well as possible during this period
We would also like to thank Professor Di Kuh and the team at the MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing at UCL for allowing us to take over their meeting room for two weeks; the Farr Institute for lending us their training room; and our neighbours the Government Digital Service for sharing their band width with our staff.
